Spurs line up Rose replacement

Tottenham Hotspur are running checks on Bologna left-back Adam Masina as they prepare for the departure of Danny Rose to Manchester United, the Sunday Mirror report this morning.

Rose has been linked with a move away from Tottenham almost on a weekly basis this season. Rose was left out of the squad which drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion yesterday after he had already played 90 minutes in the Champions League victory away to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

However, some outlets are claiming that Rose was once again ‘dropped’, while Pochettino has already publically stated that he is managing Rose’s fitness and rotating his full-back options. The Mirror claim that United could make a move for Rose in January.

Who is Adam Masina? He’s a Moroccan-born Italy Under-21 international who has just 18 months to run on his current deal with Bologna, where he has been a first-team regular this season. He is also attracting interest from La Liga outfit Sevilla.

Personally, if Rose were to leave. I’d rather see us go for Luke Shaw. What are your thoughts?
