Spurs linked with Cabaye move

Today we are being linked with a move for out of favour Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The former Newcastle United player has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by since moving to his homeland in January 2014 and is now looking for a return to the Premier League and the chance to get his boots worn on a regular basis.

Among the clubs said to be monitoring the situation are Arsenal and Crystal Palace, who could prove to be an attractive proposition for Cabaye after the pair enjoyed a good relationship during their time together at Newcastle.

Cabaye is a good player and would be a good addition to our ranks at Spurs, but we would certainly need to clear a few bodies first from what is already an overloaded squad of midfielders.

He told Sky Sports: “It went very well with Pardew [last time]. If I have to make that decision, it will be a pleasure to see my old coach. I enjoy it with him and he does a great job.

“I am in a situation today where I am not getting the game time that I was hoping for. The important thing is that I will think carefully and make the best decision. We will see how it evolves in the coming weeks.”

Would Cabaye be a good signing?  Have your say below.
