Spurs linked with de Bruyne move

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a move for former Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.

According to a report in The Sun, Spurs sent chief scout Ian Broomfield to Germany last week to watch the 23-year-old in action for Wolfsburg.

Many people were surprised when Chelsea allowed the Belgium international to leave the club last season and apparently Jose Mourinho has had further thoughts about bringing him back to Stamford Bridge.

The Sun claimed: “Spurs have an eye on Kevin de Bruyne at German title chasers Wolfsburg. Top spy Ian Broomfield was in Europe to watch the ex-Chelsea winger last week but his price tag will put off Tottenham unless they can do a swap or sell a few players.”

In 21 league starts this season, de Bruyne has eight goals and twelve assists.
