The Sunday People are reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Lyon’s midfielder Timothe Cognat.

Spurs scouts have been sent to France to watch him captain France to winning the Under-17’s European Championships.

Cognat is said to be available for around £2million plus add ons.  Mauricio Pochettino has already secured the signing of Dele Alli from MK Dons, while Tom Carroll, Alex Pritchard, Josh Onomah and Harry Winks will all be given the opportunity to impress during pre-season.

Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason have recently made the breakthrough from the youth ranks at Spurs and it appears that the conveyor belt of talent at the Lane is finally working after years of producing no talent for the first team.
