Tottenham are interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro on loan if he is not sold by the Spanish club this January, according to the Sun on Sunday.
The report claims that Tottenham have already signalled to the 30-year-old’s representatives that they are keen to bring him in until the end of the season.
Gameiro has been linked with a £25million move to Swansea City, but was not interested in a move to the Premier League strugglers while Fenerbahce are also keen but the player is prepared to wait and see what other offers materialise.
Following the arrival of former Chelsea player Diego Costa, Gameiro’s chances of regular first-team football have taken a big hit and the French international needs to be playing more frequently if he is to have any outside chance of making it into their World Cup squad come the end of the season.
