Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly attempting to sign Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez for the third transfer window in a row, according to the Sunday People.

The Spanish Under-21 international joined Malaga from Barcelona for £15million in July and has scored five goals in ten starts since he penned a three-year contract.

According to the report, Tottenham held prolonged talks over the summer about the possibility of bringing the 21-year-old to White Hart Lane, but a deal failed no materialise – no surprise there!

Tottenham have struggled to find the back of the net this season after heavily relying on the goals of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.  Summer signing Vincent Janssen has shown a good work rate, but is yet to prove his worth as a goalscorer at the club.

  1. “Do you think Spurs should sign another striker in the January transfer window?” Not necessarily. Spurs need to play smarter and more creatively to the front players. We have players who know how to score. Even if they may not be scoring for Spurs just now.

Would I like Sandro Ramirez on our books? Yes, why not. However he might not score for Spurs if we play differently to how he wishes.

“but a deal failed no materialise – no surprise there!” – what is meant by this?

  2. Of course we need pace and the ability to beat people. This guy is also a goalscorer so with him on one wing and son on the other Harry should get plenty of support.

  3. We need a top level striker, like Lewandowski, who can get 35 goals per season, and it can't only be Kane that we rely on. Across 4 competitions, we have 1 top level striker, not enough. We have all the possession, we have playmakers aplenty, Son, Erikson, Dembele & Lamela. We also need a centre back to partner Alderweireld, Vertonghen is clumsy.
