Spurs-linked striker admits it would be amazing to join Manchester United

Bournemouth striker Joshua King has admitted that he would be interested in returning to Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window closing.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held talks with King’s agent after he jetted into London to discuss the possibility of the front man swapping the south coast for N17 (talkSPORT).

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Bournemouth following their relegation to the Championship.

King came through the academy set up at Old Trafford but left after failing to break into the first-team and went on to forge his career with the Cherries.

The Norwegian revealed that he was keen to return to United in the January transfer window only for the move to be blocked by Bournemouth but still would relish the opportunity to return and have the opportunity to test himself in the Champions League.

Tottenham are said to be keen to add another striker to their squad but must first look to offload some of their current players (Standard).

“I will not lie, because I really wanted to go there in January, but what happened, happened,” he told Norwegian outlet TV2.

“I know why things happened. We’ll just have to wait and see. There is a lot that is open.”

“I have a dream to play in the Champions League.

“Whether it will happen this season or in two years, I do not know. But I have a dream about it that all boys have.

“What if United are still interested? That would be amazing. I was at United for five years and I learned a lot there.”
