The transfer window has only been open a matter of days, but already Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a whole host of named from world football.

Boca Juniors midfielder Agustin Almendra is on the radar of Tottenham and a host of other European clubs according to Ilmattino.

The playmaker has a €27 million release clause and has also been monitored by PSG, Inter Milan, Monaco, Napoli and Benfica.

The 19-year-old has been compared in style with his impressive dribbling skills to the legendary Juan Román Riquelme who also started his career at Boca, before becoming a household name in Spain due to his stints with Barcelona and Villarreal.

If Spurs are to have any chance of landing the highly rated prospect, they will have to battle a number of potential suitors with Napoli already said to have held talks with his representatives.

Tottenham could certainly do with a player who get on the ball and help take the game by the scruff of its neck in a similar fashion as to what Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard are able to do, however proven players with these skills cost a fortune.
