Tottenham Hotspur are rumoured to have entered the race for £25m-rated Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, according to The Mirror.

The 24-year-old Bosnian international had previously claimed that he wanted a switch to AC Milan, but is now said to be open to a move to the Premier League.

Dzeko is attracting interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.  Spurs would have to offload Robbie Keane and possibly one another before landing the player who has scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. 16goals?i think he has 16 goals this season and 9 assists.but last season he had 32goals in 36games.he was injured this season aswel.and wolfsburg have a 40mil euro clause in his contract.so id say for 25mil we would never get him.if milan and other big clubs are after him, spurs would atleast need 2 offer 30mil and a wage of 100k a week

  2. But to me this guy would be perfect.every game i see him play he plays well.even if his team is loosing.he is a real stable striker.he single handedly led wolfsburg last season from mid table to a league win.also his strike partner graphite scored around 35 goals and alot of his goals were because of dzeko.the scum were after this guy even before he scored alot of goals.and he is exactly what we need.able to play the lone striker role perfectly.but tbh we would never get this guy.i saw sell keane n if pav stil wants to go let him.we wil get around 30mil for both.then we can buy a quality top striker with that money and give 1 of our youth system strikers a go.

  3. Why don't we optimize all of our resources first.. I heard Harry Kane had an amazing quality.. The guy like him would become our invaluable asset if we can manage his talent and of course give him opportunity to blossom..

  4. No thanks, would rather spend all that money on a couple of world class defenders, and get rid of King + Woodgate. Keane is due back and if they can achieve CL then Pav may stay as well. And I think the chap would rather set his sights higher on a bigger club anyway.
