Spurs linked with striker who could be available for cut-price fee

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Mohammed Kudus this summer, according to Foot Mercato.

The report claims that the 19-year-old is also attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Rennes, Marseille, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.

Having scored three goals from 30 appearances as a midfielder last season, Nordsjaelland boss Flemming Steen Pedersen moved Kudus into an attacking role during the current campaign which has paid dividends with Ghanian having netted nine goals in 19 Danish Superliga outings (transfermarkt).

Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed the teenager could be available for a bargain fee, with Nordsjaelland said to be willing to let him leave for around £4.5million.

Opinion

Tottenham have a track record of signing highly rated young talent having snapped up the likes of Dele Alli, Aaron Lennon, Gareth Bale and Jack Clarke in recent seasons.

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic is likely to see very few clubs spending large amounts of money this summer and a move for players showing promise such as Kudus could become a primary strategy.
