Spurs lose one of their brightest young talents for bargain fee

Tottenham Hotspur are set to lose highly rated prospect Keanan Bennetts to the Bundesliga.

According to reports, the winger who can operate down either the right or left flank has agreed a move to Borussia Mönchengladbach said to be in the region of £2 million. Apparently the player has already cleared out his locker at the Spurs training ground.

Bennnetts, 18, caught the eye during his displays for Tottenham in their UEFA Youth League campaign and scored a stunning solo effort against Monaco.

It represents a huge blow to Tottenham to lose such a bright talent from their ranks, and follows other young English players such as Jadon Sancho in moving to Germany.

The senior squad isn’t exactly blessed with natural width, apart from Lucas Moura and it’s disappointing to see us lose a player who has come through the thanks. Hopefully the same doesn’t happen to Rio Griffiths, the 18-year-old forward has also attracted interest from German clubs.
