Spurs midfielder takes to Twitter to confirm he is leaving

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has taken to Twitter to confirm that he is leaving Tottenham Hotspur.

The winger was spotted arriving at Istanbul airport in the early hours of this morning ahead of completing a switch to Besiktas.

Nkoudou uploaded a note where he described Tottenham as a great club whilst also having the humility to admit that his move to North London did not work out as he had hoped.

He joined Spurs in 2016, having played 41 times in all competitions for the Marseille the season prior where he scored 10 goals but was unable to replicate the same form under Mauricio Pochettino (BBC).

After struggling to break into the Tottenham first team, he had loan spells at both Burnley and Monaco but was unable to make an impression after suffering injuries.

His last appearance for Spurs came in the opening match of the Premier League season at home to Aston Villa.

Best of luck for the future, GK.
