Spurs make official stadium capacity increase request

Tottenham have applied to Haringey Council to increase the capacity at the new stadium to 62,000.

The current anticipated capacity of the stadium was billed to be 61,559 meaning that there will be an additional 441 seats if the request is approved.

This is the second increased capacity request which the club have made to Haringey Council, a request in May of last year was approved to take the capacity from 61,059.

It may only be an extra few hundred seats, but the bigger the capacity of the new Spurs stadium, the better.

The club made the following announcement on Twitter:

Fingers crossed this latest capacity increase request is also approved. COYS!
