New Tottenham signing Lewis Holtby has lavished praise on Gareth Bale but has insisted that we are not a one-man team.
Bale has been in dazzling form as of late scoring four goals in his last three games, notably helping us to victories against West Brom and Newcastle United. The Welsh international has scored 15 goals already this campaign which is easily his best return in a season.
Holtby has come in and shown hunger and passion which is great to see for the Spurs cause. He has adapted superbly to life in the Premier League and AVB looks as if he has pulled off one of the bargains of the season by bringing in the German Under-21 international for just shy of £1million.
He told the Daily Star: “He’s a world-class player. What he’s producing week in, week out is fantastic and to have a player like Bale makes the difference.
“But it’s not only Gareth. You have to give the credit to the others. It’s a great team. Of course he scores goals. He is perfect for us but every player in the team works hard for the club.
“You see (goalkeeper) Hugo Lloris, how he saved the chance at the end against Newcastle. The defenders put their bodies into every shot. Everyone is working really hard, that’s the key.”
