Spurs pair added to planned contract talks

Tottenham Hotspur are planning to hold contract talks with Heung-min Son and Christian Eriksen as they look to tie down their star players to new deals, according to the Daily Mirror.

In the past few days, we’ve seen in the press the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld all in line to begin contract extension discussions. The biggest concern is Alderweireld who has less than 18 months to run on his current contract.

Heung-min Son is one of the Premier League’s most unsung players and has been in superb form for Spurs once again this season, having scored 10 goals already. The South Korean has two years left to run on his current deal and earns around £60,000-a-week.

Eriksen also has two years to run on his existing deal and earns around £70,000-a-week. Just to put those wages into perspective, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain earns around £120,000-a-week at Liverpool.

Levy really needs to sort out our wage structure or we could be faced with a mass exodus in the coming seasons.
