Jan Vertonghen has agreed to sign a contract extension at Tottenham Hotspur for the remainder of the season.
The Belgian is joined by goalkeeper Michel Vorm who has also put pen to paper on a deal to see out the current campaign.
Vorm re-joined Tottenham in October in order to provide extra cover after Hugo Lloris suffered an elbow injury in the defeat at Brighton.
Spurs had until tomorrow to finalise any short-term extensions for players who were due to be out of contract at the end of the month (Daily Mail).
Vertonghen’s long-term future in North London remains uncertain with the 33-year-old having been linked with a move away from the club.
The Express claimed that Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho had scrapped talks with Vertonghen about the prospect of a new deal.
