Spurs release statement over plans for first-team which begins tomorrow

Tottenham have released an update regarding the current situation at the Hotspur Way training facility.

The Champions League finalists have announced that from tomorrow they will open up some of the training pitches which will be used by members of Jose Mourinho’s first team squad to conduct individual running sessions.

The sessions will be organised on a rota basis and will allow players to build up their fitness away from the public eye.

Only one player will be permitted to use a pitch at any one time with the training building remaining out of bounds which will mean that players will travel to the facility already wearing their training kit and return home also wearing it.

The club has come in for negative publicity following issues with players and staff having not complied with government guidelines on social distancing.

Mourinho was forced to apologise recently following a training session with record signing Tanguy Ndombele on Hadley Common (CNN) while Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier also had to issue a statement for flouting the rules (Guardian).
