Spurs set for triple transfer raid?

Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a triple swoop this summer as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his squad.

According to the Daily Mirror, three Portuguese players – Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins, Southampton right-back Cedric Soares and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves are all on Tottenham’s radar.

Gelson Martins can operate on both flanks and is seen as a wide option, along with Wilfried Zaha and Malcom. There’s no dobut we are lacking width on the flanks, personally, I’d move Erik Lamela on – he’s full of flicks and tricks but no end product.

Serge Aurier has failed to live up to the expectation at right-back following his move from PSG due to his unpredictability, which has led Spurs to keep tabs on Soares, who could potentially leave the Saints if they are relegated from the Premier League.

Ruben Neves has been instrumental in Wolverhampton’s return to the top flight, I would be highly surprised if they were willing to part with their star player ahead of next season.

I cannot see us signing all three of these players, if we are to push on to the next step – we need proven quality. These players do not fit the bill in my opinion – what do you think?
