Spurs set to offer in-form star a new deal

Tottenham Hotspur are set to reward one of their star performers of the season with a new contract, Sky Sports are reporting today.

Heung-min Son has been in scintillating form for Spurs this season, having already scored 18 goals so far and is likely to better the 20 goals which he scored last season.

The South Korean’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2020 and it is likely he will be offered a new contract before the start of the next campaign.

It will be great to extend Son’s contract, but we also need to get the Toby Alderweireld situation sorted for once and for all.

Son has scored an impressive 47 goals in 130 appearances since joining Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and fans will be hoping that he can continue his goalscoring form while Harry Kane is sidelined with an ankle injury.
