Spurs star ruled out for the season?

If speculation is to be believed, Tottenham Hotspur could potentially be without the services of Victor Wanyama for the rest of the season.

The Daily Mail’s football editor, Ian Ladyman was on the panel of the Sunday Supplement on Sky Sports earlier today and revealed that the midfielder’s season could be over due to injury.

Wanyama suffered an injury to his left knee during Tottenham’s pre season tour of the USA and after featuring in the opening Premier League matches against Newcastle United and Chelsea, appears to have further aggrivated the knee.

The Kenyan’s presence in the heart of midfield has been missed in recent weeks and hopefully the rumours suggesting his season is over are far from the mark.

Tottenham last commented on Wanyama’s fitness during a Tweet to their official account on Friday, where it was revealed he is due to meet with a knee specialist this week.
