Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, but he will be going nowhere during the transfer window according to one pundit.
Sky Sport’s Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague reports that Gomes will not be joining Tottenham or any other club for that matter.
Earlier today it looked as if Gomes was coming to Spurs instead of Ross Barkley, but it could now mean that Spurs do not bring in any midfielder in that mould.
Gomes has failed to hold down a regular first-team place in the Barcelona midfield and looks set to spend the next few months at least on the bench.
