Tottenham will be without top goalscorer Harry Kane for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Wycombe.

The England striker is suffering from a minor groin problem but Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful Kane will be fit for Tuesday’s Premier League meeting with Sunderland.

Danny Rose (knee) is also missing, as are defensive duo Jan Vertonghen (ankle) and Toby Alderweireld (hamstring), while Erik Lamela (hip) is still out.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Lopez, Davies, Dier, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Trippier, Walker, Wanyama, Winks, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Sissoko, Onomah, Nkoudou, Son, Janssen.

Have something to tell us about this article?

    • Totally agree. I've been saying this for a long time to always field our strongest side. We've had the squad to win this cup over and over but we always get done by sticking out our reserves. Do it for the fans and not just for the money.

  1. Why would we put out or best squad for Wycombe. And this gives a chance to experiment with the team for example onomah, vickers people like that who do not get that many chances. Also why would you play dembele one of our most important playmakers in a game like this. You should all trust pottechino.

    • Just take a look at Liverpool. Scraping through after a replay against Plymouth, and now look what is happening right now against Wolves. Fans pay a lot of money to watch their team play and deserve to watch the first team play. not a bunch of reserves.

  2. Cam, I hope you read this. This is exactly why we need to put out our strongest players. We were 1 minute plus injury time away from getting beaten today. Need I say any more?
