Tottenham Hotspur are prioritising a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish instead of Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, according to The Sun.
Palace winger Zaha has rejected a new contract offer at Selhurst Park and the Standard suggest that he has made it clear behind the scenes that he wants to play Champions League football.
Tottenham had a bid rejected for the Ivory Coast international during last summer’s transfer window and with four years left to run on his existing deal, is valued in the region of £70million which has put off Daniel Levy.
Levy is instead trying to finalise a move for Grealish, with Villa still in a financial fair play predicament, despite the investment from Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens to help rescue Tony Xia, there are limits over what the latest money men can actually spend and are still expected to part company with their star player
Villa have been trying to hold out for £40million for Grealish, while Tottenham are prepared to offer around £20million and is being tipped to become our first summer signing.
