Spurs warned off rumoured £50m target

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has dismissed claims that David Brooks could leave the club.

The Welsh international only moved to the south coast at the start of the season after moving from Championship outfit Sheffield United.
Brooks has been one of the Premier League’s most impressive performers this season, notably with his display in the Cherries recent 4-0 demolition of Chelsea.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on the 21-year-old, with the Daily Mirror suggesting earlier this week that they could be set to mount a £50million bid in the summer.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were linked with Brooks before he joined Bournemouth and would now have to pay a significant amount more to land their man.
Brooks was born in Warrington, but qualifies to play for Wales through his mother and has gone on to earn nine caps for his adopted nation. He had previously played at Under-20 level for England.
However, Howe has claimed that Brooks is a massive part of their club.
Howe told the Daily Echo: “David is a massive part of what we are doing here.

“We have a big end to the season from our perspective.

“We need everyone focused on that and nothing else.”
