“Still can’t defend” – Some Spurs fans react to beating Bournemouth

Some Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been sharing their three word match reports after yesterday’s 3-2 win against Bournemouth.

After the nervy start against Olympiacos on Tuesday night where Jose Mourinho found his side 2-0 down after twenty minutes, he would have been hoping for a less nervy encounter against the Cherries.

When Dele Alli found the back of the net on two occasions and Moussa Sissoko scored a rare goal to make it 3-0 to the home side, it appeared that Spurs would be heading for a comfortable victory. However, they were once again unable to keep a clean sheet.

Bournemouth substitute Harry Wilson scored twice in the final twenty minutes to set up a tense finish and it looked as if Eddie Howe’s side would steal a point only for Jan Vertonghen to deny Callum Wilson in the dying seconds with a last ditch tackle.

Thankfully, Mourinho’s men were able to hold on for the victory and closed the gap on fourth placed Chelsea who lost at home to West Ham.

Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say on social media.
