Mousa Dembele has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, almost since the final kick of last season.
The Belgian international has just twelve months to run on his current deal at Spurs and is expected to depart after the conclusion of the World Cup.
Dembele, who is 31 later this month has been linked with big money moves to China, along with a host of clubs in Italy, including Inter Milan who are looking to steal a march on the likes of Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan by opening talks with the midfielder and have further talks scheduled for next week.
Tottenham are said to be holding out for £20 million before allowing the former Fulham man to leave the club. The player recently said that if he was to leave, he would not join a Premier League rival as “Tottenham is my club”.
