France have called up Hugo Lloris and Moussa Sissoko to the national squad for their upcoming matches next month.
The biggest concern is that Tottenham Hotspur’s club record signing Tanguy Ndombele has not been named in Didier Deschamps squad.
Ndombele missed the 1-0 defeat against Newcastle United at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday with a minor thigh problem (Spurs official).
His absence from the national squad is in our opinion a huge concern ahead of Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Whether the 22-year-old is in contention to face Arsenal will be revealed tomorrow in the club’s injury bulletin which takes place before Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way.
After watching the Newcastle debacle, I am convinced that the Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks midfield partnership experiment has been tried and has failed.
Sissoko could even potentially find himself playing at right-back against the Woolwich if Kyle Walker-Peters fails to recover from a hamstring issue and Serge Aurier is deemed as surplus to requirements.
