Tanguy Ndombele makes bold statement about Tottenham’s stadium

Tanguy Ndombele has given Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium a glowing review after he completed his club record transfer from Lyon on Monday (Independent).

The 22-year-old French international sat down with Tottenham’s media team and was asked for his opinion on the 62,062 capacity seater stadium which he will now call home.

After visiting both the Hotspur Way training ground and the ground in N17, Ndombele has big things to say about the venue which he described as the most beautiful he has ever seen.

Ndombele said in an exclusive interview with Tottenham’s smartphone app: “The stadium is just amazing, I’ve said it before. I’m not jut saying it because I’ve just signed for Tottenham. It’s the most beautiful stadium I’ve ever seen or played in.

“I really can’t wait to be able to play in the stadium and feel the atmosphere inside there.

Ndombele joined Lyon in 2017 and helped them finish third in the French top-flight last season. He made 96 appearances during his time at Lyon and registered 16 assists.

He becomes the club’s most expensive player, beating the previous transfer record which was the £42m paid to sign defender Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in August 2017.

It’s music to the ears of Spurs fans to hear new signings saying such positive things about the stadium which certainly must be a lure to players to want to join the club.
