Team News: Five ruled out for Wolves match; midfielder returns to training

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update to journalists in attendance at Hotspur Way.

The media have been congregating at Tottenham’s training ground ahead of Jose Mourinho’s pre Wolverhampton Wanderers press conference.

Such is the usual protocol from the club, the press conference is preceded with an update on those within the Spurs squad who are injured.

Club captain Hugo Lloris is once again ruled out with a dislocated elbow, while Ben Davies (ankle), Michael Vorm (calf), Tanguy Ndombele (groin) and Erik Lamela (hamstring) also are still sidelined with respective injuries.

Mourinho rested some of his key players for the midweek trip to Bayern Munich with Harry Kane, Serge Aurier, Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli all expected to come back into contention.

Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick Tweeted the following from the press conference.

Opinion

Wolves currently sit one place above Tottenham in the Premier League table and nothing less than three points will do if we still hold out any hope of finishing in the top four come the end of the season.
