Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update to journalists in attendance at Jose Mourinho’s pre-Norwich City press conference at Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Mourinho answering questions prior to the visit of the Canaries to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow evening for the FA Cup fifth round.
The competition represents Tottenham’s best chance of ending their twelve-year wait for competitive silverware given the fact that they are already out of Liverpool’s reach in the Premier League and have to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the second leg of the Champions League tie against RB Leipzig.
As expected, Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko are both continuing their rehabilitation from their respective hamstring and knee issues.
Club captain Hugo Lloris, who missed Sunday’s defeat at home to Wolves with a groin problem will sit out the cup tie.
There is some positive news after Ryan Sessegnon has returned to training, while Erik Lamela will be assessed ahead of the match after missing the defeat at the weekend.
Spurs injury news: Harry Kane (hamstring), Hugo Lloris (groin), Moussa Sissoko (knee) & Heung-Min Son (arm) are all continuing rehabilitation. Ryan Sessegnon (hip) has returned to training with the squad. Erik Lamela will be assessed ahead of the game.
