Team News: Four missing for Spurs ahead of the visit of Burnley

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update to journalists attending this afternoon’s pre-Burnley press conference at Hotspur Way.

Ahead of Jose Mourinho meeting the media, the protocol is always for the club to notify those in attendance of which players are unavailable or doubtful for the upcoming fixture.

Mourinho will once again be without Hugo Lloris (elbow), Michel Vorm (calf), Ben Davies (ankle) and Erik Lamela (hamstring) for the visit of the Clarets.

Spurs will be looking to return to winning ways in North London having put in a disappointing performance during the 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Wednesday evening.

With fourth-place Chelsea having beaten Aston Villa in midweek, Spurs find themselves nine points behind their rivals.

Burnley won their last Premier League match against Spurs, 2-1 at Turf Moor in February, a result which proved costly to Mauricio Pochettino’s hopes of challenging for the title.

Journalist Alasdair Gold confirmed the team news via his Twitter account.

Spurs have since Tweeted confirmation of the injury news.
