Team News: Four missing for Spurs for the visit of Bournemouth

A team news update has been provided by Tottenham Hotspur to journalists attending today’s pre-Bournemouth press conference at Hotspur Way.

The media have been congregating at the club’s training ground ahead of their opportunity to pose questions to head coach Jose Mourinho, who is looking for his third successive win since being appointed to succeed Mauricio Pochettino.

As expected, club captain Hugo Lloris continues to miss out with his elbow injury while fellow goalkeeper Michel Vorm has a calf problem that he recently picked up in a training session.

Left-back Ben Davies is ruled out with ligament damage to his left ankle which was sustained during Saturday’s 3-2 win at West Ham United and may require surgery in the future (Spurs official).

Midfielder Erik Lamela continues his spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem which has seen him not feature since the 5-0 win at Red Star Belgrade. However, the club did describe his progress as being in the late stages of conditioning before he returns to training.

Journalist Alasdair Gold confirmed the injury update on his Twitter account.
