Team News: Jose Mourinho offers injury updates on Son and Bale

Tottenham Hotspur certainly do not have much time to enjoy their Carabao Cup victory against Chelsea with attention now turning to the Europa League.

Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa are the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow night with a place in the group stages of the European competition up for grabs for the winner.

Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho has already previously revealed that Eric Dier will not take part in the game after claiming that it would kill his defender if he did so. Erik Lamela, who scored the all-important late equaliser against Frank Lampard’s side will also not feature (Football London).

Mourinho revealed at this afternoon’s press conference to the journalists who dialled in ahead of the Maccabi Haifa tie that Heung-min Son will once again miss out due to the hamstring injury he suffered in the first half of the 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Portuguese did offer a promising update on the South Korean by claiming that he could be fit to face Manchester United on Sunday.

However, Mourinho re-iterated that Gareth Bale is still not ready to return from his knee injury and will once again be sidelined.
