Team News: One player misses Europa trip to Shkendija

Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Jose Mourinho was back in front of the media this afternoon to answer questions ahead of tomorrow’s Europa League third round qualifier in Macedonia.

Spurs jetted off earlier this evening in preparation for the single leg knockout tie against Shkendija with the winner set to face either Russian side Rostov or Maccabi Haifa of Israel in the play-off round of the competition.

The Macedonian side are currently top of their domestic league and set up the fixture against Jose Mourinho’s side courtesy of a 1-0 win against FC Botosani last time out.

The press conference was once again conducted through the Zoom video conference platform with journalists no longer able to attend the Hotspur Way training facility in line with COVID-19 guidelines.

It has been confirmed that Japhet Tanganga continues to miss out due to a thigh injury and is the only member of the first team squad currently sidelined (Spurs official).

The match is scheduled to be shown live in the UK on Premier Sports 1.
