Team News: One player returns, three ruled out to face Red Star

Tottenham Hotspur have proved an injury update ahead of their fixture against Red Star Belgrade.

The North London side travelled to Serbia earlier today in what could be a crunch match in deciding who qualifies from Group B of the Champions League.

Spurs ran out comfortable 5-0 winners against tomorrow’s opposition in the match in London last month but will have to face the intense atmosphere which is generated by the home support.

Harry Kane missed the 1-1 draw on Merseyside against Everton on Sunday through illness but has managed to recover to travel with the rest of the squad.

Erik Lamela remains sidelined with a hamstring problem and will be assessed prior to the weekend’s match against Sheffield United.

Jan Vertonghen is not expected to return until later this month following the international break while goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is a long term absentee following his dislocated elbow which he suffered away to Brighton.
