Team News: Spurs confirm four players are to miss new stadium opener against Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The club have confirmed that Serge Aurier (hamstring), Eric Dier (hip flexor), Erik Lamela (hamstring) and Fernando Llorente (concussion) all miss out. There is some good news with the potential return of Harry Winks who resumed training today following a groin issue.

The fixture will see Spurs hold their first competitive fixture at their brand new 62,062 capacity seater stadium after holding two successful test events last month.

Despite the excitement surrounding the club’s new home, on the pitch fans are certainly frustrated with how things are going.

After only managing to pick up a single point from the last fifteen available, Spurs have thrown away a ten-point advantage over Arsenal which has seen their North London rivals now go above
them in the table.

Tottenham have won 1-0 in each of their last five Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace, the longest run of consecutive identical results between two sides in the history of the competition.
