Team News: Spurs confirm pair remain sidelined for the trip to Leicester City

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Leicester City.

It is a quick turnaround for Mauricio Pochettino and his players who jetted back to London last night following the 2-2 draw against Olympiacos in the opening match of the Champions League.

It was a disappointing performance from Tottenham who went 2-0 up within the opening half hour, but for the second away game in a row were guilty of throwing away their lead.

During the North London derby, it was a similar story where we had to settle for a point and conceded just before the half time break.

Danny Rose and Serge Aurier were both left at home for the trip to Athens and are likely to come back into contention.

Tottenham have confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso (hip) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) both remain sidelined having already missed the Group B clash.

Lo Celso picked up the hip problem on international duty with Argentina and is not expected to be back until late in October (BBC) while Sessegnon has been suffering from issues related to his previous hamstring problem (Spurs official).
