Team News: Spurs confirm the side which will face Birmingham City; Kane involved

Tottenham Hotspur are back in action this afternoon in their third pre-season friendly ahead of the new Premier League season.

Jose Mourinho’s side took to the field at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium around 24 hours ago when they comfortably swept aside Reading in 4-1 win.

There is yet more Championship opposition for Spurs to face with Birmingham City making the trip south to pit themselves against top flight opposition.

Dele Alli, Heung-min Son and Erik Lamela were all on target against the Royals together with an own goal to make it seven goals in two matches to build upon last weekend’s 3-0 win against Ipswich Town of League One.

Frustratingly Mourinho’s men were unable to keep a clean sheet after conceding a penalty against Mark Bowen’s side with just ten minutes left on the clock.

Spurs are once again without the services of Tanguy Ndombele after the French midfielder contracted coronavirus (talkSPORT).

The big news is that Harry Kane is named in the squad for the first time and takes his place on the bench.

Here’s the Spurs team which will face Blues during the first half.
