Team News vs Liverpool: Spurs confirm three players to miss Anfield clash

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update ahead of Sunday’s trip to Anfield.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will take on second-placed Liverpool and will be looking to eradicate the horrific form which they suffered prior to the international break.

After only managing to pick up one point from a maximum of twelve available, Spurs have gone from potential title challengers to risk to potentially finding themselves level with fifth place in the Premier League after Arsenal and Manchester United have played their respective matches.

The Spurs Twitter account have confirmed that Serge Aurier has suffered a hamstring injury on international duty and is undergoing assessment, while Eric Dier (hip flexor) and Harry Winks (groin) are also sidelined.

Liverpool’s last home defeat was against Crystal Palace in April 2017. Since then, they have won 26 and drawn 1- of their 36 Premier League matches at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side only top-flight defeat this season came when they lost against fellow title rivals Manchester City in January.
