The team Poch must pick for Spurs to beat Burnley

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to kick off the festive period with a win against high-flying Burnley tomorrow evening.

Nothing less than a win will do for Mauricio Pochettino’s side or the gap between ourselves and hopes of another Champions League campaign next season will continue to fade into the distance.

The Clarets will be no pushover and are high on confidence after their impressive start to the season, however, the calibre of the Tottenham side means our fans expect a win against the likes of Burnley – meant with the greatest respect.

In terms of team news, Victor Wanyama and Toby Alderweireld remain sidelined through injury. Davinson Sanchez is available after serving his three-match suspension.

If you were Mauricio Pochettino, what would your Spurs side be for the match? Here’s the team we would like to see start.

Aurier Vertonghen Sanchez Davies

Dembele Winks

Eriksen Dele Son

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I would make some changes: take out Dembele and put Dele next to Winks in the midfield and put Lamela up top with Son, switching sides throughout the game to really burst through that Burnley defense

  2. i think poch may go 3 at the back now sanchez is back so i reckon he will go Hugo Aurier Dier Sanchez Vertonghen Rose at the back Winks/Dembele holding id go with Lamela Eriksen Son playin behind Kane no dele for me hes been out of form all season its like playing with 10 men

  3. If Poch does not get it right against Burnley ,Soton ,Swansea and West Ham relatively easier schedule than Burnley ,Arsenal and Liverpool than serious questions about his future.Lloris

    Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen Davies

    Dier Dembele

    Lamela Eriksen Son
