The Premier League record which Tottenham could beat against Bournemouth

Tottenham Hotspur could break a Premier League record when they host Bournemouth at Wembley tomorrow.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have enjoyed their best ever start to a league campaign since the inception of the Premier League.

They currently find themselves in third place in the table, just two adrift of Manchester City in second and six away from Liverpool who occupy the top spot.

Remarkably, all of Tottenham’s 42 points have come from victories as they are yet to draw a game in the top flight so far this season. If Spurs were to avoid a draw against the Cherries, it would mean that a seven-year-old record would be broken.

Following the 6-2 victory against Everton yesterday, Spurs are now joint-level with Bolton for not drawing any of their 18 league games this season. Bolton achieved the feat during the 2011 – 12 campaign.

Tottenham fans will be naturally hoping their side break the record with a victory to keep the momentum of a title tilt into the New Year.
