  1. Not a close game. Defoe could have had a double hat-trick.

Really pleased for Bentley, so many so called ‘fans’ have been knocking him, but he was excellent tonight.

The bench was a bit lacking in experience though! Quite a different scenario to a month ago.

  2. Team played well together. Worked for each other. Besides the 8 minutes when they scored the equaliser, it looked like we had a game plan and everyone stuck to it. Kept the ball well in the 2nd half. And we did it without Modric and Palacios so thats good. Good that we Keane is out on loan. If he was on the bench, Harry wud hv been obligated to bring him on for the last 10 -15 mins and that wud hv just screwed things up! No subs and all went well. For some reason we seem to defend well as a team when King is not playing. Hopefully the team spirit is up when Villa come visiting. We shd put them in their place!

  3. This could have been a cup upset quite easily. A cold and dark wednesday night in south yorkshire sounded like a game too far for so called southern softies. I thought we kept to our game plan of playing good passing football right till the end and there were the odd periods of tense defending but all in all Leeds ran out of steam in the end. I thought every player worked their socks off and for me Bentley showed why we paid so much money for him. Perhaps the penny has finally dropped and he is now back to his best. Dawson and Bassong should now be our preferred centre backs, they have been superb lately and I think we are weaker when King plays. Fair play Leeds, they are certainly in the wrong division based on the last few cup games.

  4. This is the only way to play a team with high tempo chasing i have said on all our blogs we will have to match these teams energy and if we keep it up then my campaign will stop and we will hammer another team shortly our attacking is brilliant at Times and a few goalkeepers are making names for themselves.Every player put in an Excellent shift but the one tiny criticism and you have touched on this in your well summed up blog Stevie. Ledly we all love our King but when the game is nearing its finish he cant jump on his bad knee and Jerome was way above him for there goal .Prince Bassong and Capt Dawson will be awesome if given time to work together for longer two areas they should work on sometimes they head the ball out of Defense and give it back to the other side when a downward header to one of our players ,or trap it on the chests and also hitting long balls with no danger all this should come with playing time together Harry should use Ledley and take a midfielder off when we want to close a game out great performance by one and all.

  5. Don’t forget that we also have Kaboul to come in so we are well covered in that area. I however do not see this as the end of Ledley, he is still a class player when fit and as we have more cover he will be given more time to rest between matches
