“There is something not right about Spurs” – Former Spur is concerned

Former winger Chris Waddle admits he is concerned about Tottenham after witnessing the display against Liverpool yesterday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side looked a shadow of their usual selves at Wembley against Jurgen Klopp’s side with the Reds outperforming us in all areas, notably our own high pressing style.

There were below performances from the majority of Tottenham’s key men including Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.

The display has left Waddle questioning both the lethargic display and why we are struggling to create opportunities in front of goal.

“I can’t remember Tottenham creating a single chance in the final third… and they are the home side! Pretty football at times but nothing dangerous at all,” Waddle said to BBC Radio Five Live.

“There is something not right about Spurs, with their energy levels seemingly so low. Has Kane had a single shot? Has Eriksen been on the pitch in this second half?”
