Tottenham Hotspur fans have wasted no time in gloating to Chelsea fans after securing Champions League qualification.
A 1-0 win against Newcastle United at Wembley courtesy of a Harry Kane goal, coupled with Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Premier League strugglers Huddersfield Town ensured that Spurs are guaranteed a top four finish this season.
In previous years, Chelsea fans have been quick enough to call us bottlers amongst other things after missing out Premier League glory and now Spurs fans have had their payback with Antonio Conte’s men requiring a victory and a Liverpool loss at home to Brighton to see them finish fourth.
Here’s a selection of Tweets from your fellow Spurs fans.
What a night! Spurs back in the Champions League at the new stadium, just cannot wait!! Got the job done tonight when it mattered ? Nice of Chelsea to put the pressure on ? #top4 #topteaminlondon #championsleague

I’m seeing people say Chelsea aren’t bottlers because Spurs have been ahead for months? Loool we got called bottlers after Chelsea were top all season and won 30 games. Don’t be hypocrites now
