Duo battle it out for £6million Spurs midfielder

The Daily Mail are reporting that Tom Huddlestone is the subject of a January transfer hunt.

According to the report, former Spurs bosses Harry Redknapp and Martin Jol want to take big Hudd to QPR and Fulham respectively. Apparently any loan approaches will be rejected by Spurs and the club are holding out for £6million.

With the amount of quality we have in our midfield and the arrival of Lewis Holtby, it remains to be seen if AVB is willing to part with the 26-year-old who has made more than 150 appearances for us.

  1. Spurs should sell the average player Livermore instead. Huddlestone is a proven quality player – hence why his ex managers want to sign him.

  2. Too slow and clumsy for the new look Spurs, he would never start in forn of Scotty, Moussa, Sandro, Holby. Yes Livermore uis averge and he needs a season long loan to see if he can cut the mustard, he is young enough to improve but Hudd is the finished article. Same beacuse he does have talent to offer but not the standars reqired at the lane.

  3. Huddlestone is not good enough for our team now we have stepped up a level. I could never see what people saw in him he has no pace, cannot tackle, cant head a ball and playing the odd 30 yard ball is not enough. Bye Bye Tom we wish you well.

  4. having watched huddlestone against Coventry on Saturday, I'd say he was a long way from the player he used to be. Parker, on his return from injury, made Hudd look like he was standing still. Time to call the money in on big Tom i'm afraid.

  5. Really wanted Tommy to be the main man in the centre but watching him in the early season games he looked way too slow to fit into our style of play. Get some money back for him. Thanks toy the years Tom

  6. great passer of a ball but has zero pace & cant tackle even thou hes huge.
Wont be a loss with the midfield we have, neither would livermore.

  7. Both hudds n jake can go for me. (jake on loan to R's)

Hudds lack of pace shudn't surpise anyone shud it?! – What has surprised me is how F***ING BAD he has been on the ball this year!!!!! – Really has wasted possession!! – Time to go.

  8. he can go, slow and it has to be said lazy at times the way he watches from midfield as the opposition counter attack. Superb striker of a ball, clean and off the laces but as has been said since we went up a level has been left trailing. Livermore im not so sure, he sees a pass and can tackle and isnt slow. He could do a Bale, ie come good eventually and he is young enough too.

  9. I really like Tom, i remember the days when he was a big part of the team and used to bang in 30 yard screamers. Real shame he hasn't recovered to the quality player he once was. Proper Tottenham lad and i hope he does really well wherever he goes!

  10. Excellent at giving the ball away with both feet. That sums him up. £6million is cheap though for someone who flatters to deceive so well & he's British.

  11. HUDDLESTONE HAS BEEN LEFT BEHIND AS REGARDING HIS FITNESS THE GUY IS A SHADOW OF HIS FORMER SELF HATE TO SEE HIM GO BUT SPURS DON`T SUIT HUDDLESTONE ANYMORE THE SAME GO`S FOR LIVERMORE £10,000,000 FOR BOTH WOULD BE GOOD BUSSINESS AND TRY TO GET BENTLY A NEW CLUB HE`S COSTING US.
