Tottenham fans won’t like what Pochettino had to say about new signings

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he does not expect the club to make any new signings during the current transfer window.

A number of players have been linked with a potential switch to Spurs over the past few days including Tanguy Ndombele, Franck Kessie and Jarrod Bowen but it looks as if it could be the second successive transfer window without a fresh face arriving at Hotspur Way.

The club firstly need to clear the decks of the likes of Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to free up some space.

Spurs became the first Premier League club since the inception of the window during last summer not to sign a new player, but despite heavy criticism at the time have gone on to have one of their best ever starts to a season.

Pochettino was asked following the 7-0 win at Tranmere Rovers if the club need to sign any players this month. He told Football.London: “Difficult. I don’t believe that we are going to do anything.”

When asked if he feels his squad is strong enough, he added: I’m so happy with my squad. Always you can improve, different things you can or not.
