Tottenham suffer another injury blow after starlet is stretchered off

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrott looks to have suffered a bad injury this evening whilst in action for the club’s Under 23 side against Derby County which resulted in a 3-1 win for the lilywhites.

The 17-year-old who is regarded as one of the brightest talents at the club was stretchered off with what looked like very painful leg injury.

Republic of Ireland manager Under-17 Colin O’Brien had left a space open in his squad for the European under-17 Championships which takes place in his homeland between May 3rd and May 19th with talks been Tottenham and Ireland having taken place regarding his availability (Newstalk).

The injury came from a heavy late challenge sustained during the second half which left the player on the floor in a crumpled heap.

Such has been Parrott’s impact this season, he has found himself on the fringes of the Tottenham first team having been included in Mauricio Pochettino’s travelling party for some fixtures, but has not made it into the sixteen.
