Tottenham want to hold the Super Bowl Final at new stadium

No sooner have Tottenham announced the opening of their new stadium, head of business development, Aidan Mullally, has now claimed the club want to hold the Super Bowl Final.

Spurs fans have been forced to endure a long old wait for the new ground this season, as they were originally given an opening date of September 15 last year.

Six months on and they will finally get their bums on seats come April 3 against Crystal Palace in the Premier League with BetOlimp backing Mauricio Pochettino’s side to begin with a victory.

Tottenham are also holding two test events over the next two weeks, an under 18s match tomorrow, and a legends game the following weekend.

The 62,000 plus seat stadium is not only a state-of-the-art venue for football, but it has been adapted to also host NFL games, and possibly the Super Bowl if the club get their way.

The Tottenham pitch is able to retract, revealing a purpose built NFL pitch below for such occasions which appeal to a worldwide audience of American Football fans and Betolimp South Africa are already featuring odds of a London franchise being announced.

Aidan Mullally said (iNews): “It is unbelievably complicated – both the Super Bowl and a franchise – but this stadium is designed with one purpose in mind, which is to deliver unbelievably good quality events, so we don’t want our venue holding back on any decision. It is probably the most sought-after event in the world.

“It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US. The NFL has been involved in the design process from the get-go.”
