Tottenham’s new stadium continues to receive rave reviews

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosted it’s second NFL game in the space of fourteen days when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers took to the field in North London.

After the Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders became the first teams to play at the 62,062 capacity seater venue, players and coaches from both sides spoke about the stadium in glowing terms (Evening Express).

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera was full of praise of the stadium and its facilities after leading his side to a 37-26 victory over the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon.

He told Football.London: “It’s terrific, it really is. Whatever they did, they did it right. The field, the players talked about it being a fast surface, thought it was a good field to play on.

“The amenities in terms of the locker room, the way the locker room is set up, structure as far as the training room, the hydrotherapy room for the guys, it’s top-notch. I think if you come here, you should be able to appreciate the situation. ”

Tottenham will be looking to significantly improve upon their last match at the stadium when they were put to the sword by Bayern Munich in a 7-2 defeat in the Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side take to the field on Saturday when they welcome Watford to N17 and will be looking to climb the table from their current position of ninth.

The Hornets find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Premier League after failing to win any of their eight opening top flight matches.
