Two notable omissions from the USA tour signal likely exit from Spurs

While the Tottenham Hotspur squad head across the pond to start their pre-season tour of the USA, their are two notable omissions from Mauricio Pochettino’s selection.

While the likes of Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Danny Rose are given extra time to rest following their World Cup campaign, it has allowed Poch to give some other players a chance to step up and impress.
Two players who haven’t needed their passports are Vincent Janssen and Marcus Edwards, which pretty much seals their fate at the club.
Janssen arrived from Spurs a couple of seasons ago for £17million but failed to make the grade and is expected to return to Turkey on a permanent deal with Fenerbahce.
Edwards was once compared to Lionel Messi by Pochettino but is seeking a move away from Tottenham this summer, having reluctantly accepted that his chance of a first-team breakthrough under Poch has gone.
